Nanozeoxy:
Nanomaterials for Hypoxic Cancer Therapy
(2025-2027)
The Nanozeoxy project is built on an innovative approach that uses nanoparticles to—at least temporarily—restore sufficient oxygenation in tumors prior to radiotherapy. It leverages nanometric zeolites, which are known as excellent gas carriers. These nanozeolites can incorporate contrast agents during or after synthesis, enabling in vivo tracking via imaging while also enhancing the effectiveness of radiotherapy (radiosensitizing effect).
Preliminary results obtained through the Normandie Valorisation Maturation program have demonstrated the efficacy of our strategy in rodent GBM models. However, before launching the startup, we aim to strengthen and potentially expand our proof of concept to include another GBM model as well as other cancers. The creation of the startup is planned for the end of 2025, with the goal of commercializing injectable nanozeolite solutions pre-loaded with gas for administration before radiotherapy.
